• VITAMIN A

  Why we chose it:

  Vitamin A helps protect against macular degeneration and vision loss over time by decreasing cumulative oxidative stress and inflammation. Vitamin A provides an additional host of benefits to the eyes and may also protect against the development of eye infections.

  Core function:

  To help reduce cumulative oxidative stress and inflammation of the eyes.

  Our vitamin A is naturally derived from green microalgae.

• VITAMIN C & E

  Why we chose them:

  Vitamin C & E help to reduce the risk of macular degeneration, protect and delay the progression of cataracts, and promote visual acuity. Vitamin C is a powerhouse antioxidant that promotes the health of the blood vessels throughout the body, including the retina’s delicate capillaries. Vitamin C & E provide antioxidants that protect against free radicals which can break down healthy eye tissue.

  To help to protect eyes from unstable free radicals and maintain healthy collagen tissue.

  We use two forms of vitamin C — pure ascorbic acid and acerola cherries. Our vitamin E is derived through natural fermentation.

• ZINC

  Why we chose it:

  Zinc is vital in the production of melanin, a protective pigment in the eyes. Clinical results from The Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS) show that increased intake of antioxidants and Zinc lowers the risk for disease progression by 25% in patients with intermediate or advanced Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD).

  To support overall visual acuity, and lower the risk of development and progression of AMD.

  We use Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate, a highly bioavailable form of Magnesium with a low molecular weight.

• COPPER

  Why we chose it:

  Copper is a crucial trace mineral that supports the maintenance of overall eye health. Deficiency can have negative impacts on eye health. Additionally, copper is needed to bind with Zinc for efficacy and prevent copper-deficiency anemia.

  Core function:

  To help enhance the functioning of the antioxidant enzymes in the eye and bind with Zinc for the efficacy of both minerals.

  We use an amino acid chelate copper which means it’s molecularly attached to amino acids so that it can be absorbed as a protein.

• BILBERRY

  Why we chose it:

  Bilberries are a small, dark blue-colored berry and one of the richest natural sources of anthocyanins, an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Native to Northern Europe, studies have shown that Bilberry fruit extract may reduce eye fatigue and dry eye, both common symptoms of Digital Eye Strain (DES).

  To help reduce eye fatigue and dry eye.

• CARROT JUICE POWDER

  Why we chose it:

  Containing both Lycopene and Lutein, Carrot Juice Powder is an excellent source of beta-carotene which supports the absorption of many of the key ingredients in InSight by Felix Gray™, like Vitamin A. Beta-carotene also reduces oxidative stress on the eyes caused by free radicals.

  Core function:

  To help reduce oxidative stress and support absorption of other ingredients.

  We use dehydrated carrot juice.

• L-CITRULLINE

  Why we chose it:

  L-Citrulline is an amino acid that enhances blood flow, boosts nitric oxide production within the body, and specifically improves blood flow to the eyes. Increased blood flow helps to improve the delivery of vital nutrients to the eyes.

  Core function:

  To promote blood flow to the eyes, increasing delivery of powerful antioxidants and essential minerals.

  Our L-Citrulline is naturally derived via fermentation.

• LUTEIN & ZEAXANTHIN

  Why we chose it:

  Lutein and Zeaxanthin are common carotenoid antioxidants with proven anti-inflammatory properties. Both are naturally present in high concentrations within the retina and work to filter and protect the macula from Blue Light. As resident antioxidants, they scavenge for free radicals to reduce oxidative stress-induced damage. Clinical results from AREDS suggest that a higher dietary intake of Lutein and Zeaxanthin decrease the risk of developing advanced age-related macular disease AMD.

  To help reduce the risk of various eye diseases, especially late forms of (AMD).

• ASTAXANTHIN

  Why we chose it:

  Astaxanthin is one of the most potent carotenoid antioxidants. Its unique molecular structure allows it to cross the blood-brain-retina-barrier safely and directly enter the eye. Once in the eye, Astaxanthin performs as a "super-nutrient" antioxidant, trapping and neutralizing free radicals as well as inhibiting inflammation.

  To help defend against oxidative stress and damage — critical to both short-term eye comfort and long-term retinal and macular health.
