Do Blue Light Glasses Actually Work?

Glad you asked, because not all blue light glasses are made equal.

Digital screens and LED light emission peak at 455nm. This is important because other clear blue light glasses use a reflective coating to block light and this is only effective for wavelengths up to 430nm. Therefore they do not protect sufficiently against all blue light coming off screens and LEDs!

Dark colored yellow, red or orange blue light lenses on the other hand, do block all blue light. However, studies have shown that these lenses only marginally improve melatonin levels.

Protecting at 455 nanometers in combination with the way we manage light makes Felix Gray the only blue light glasses that have a measurable impact on sleep, focus and productivity.
