What is HSA/FSA and can I use it here?

HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) are pre-tax health benefit accounts that may be used to purchase eligible health products. Felix Gray has partnered with Truemed to enable qualified customers to use their HSA/FSA funds on eligible purchases. Eligibility is automatically approved for reader and prescription glasses and is determined by an independent licensed practitioner through a clinical intake form at checkout for non-prescription blue light glasses.

Can I still use the Truemed pay with HSA/FSA funds option at checkout if I don’t have enough funds in my HSA/FSA account?

Yes. Truemed supports Split Pay, allowing you to use multiple payment methods for a single order, giving you the flexibility to split your payment in a way that best suits your needs. Subject to individual approval, you can also pay for the entire purchase with a credit or debit card through Truemed and submit a reimbursement request to your HSA/FSA plan administrator for up to the amount you have available in your HSA/FSA account. After you complete Truemed’s health intake survey, you can submit payment via Truemed. If you qualify, Truemed will provide you with a copy of your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) along with detailed instructions on how to submit your payment to your HSA/FSA plan administrator for reimbursement. You will need to submit your LMN and Felix Gray purchase receipt to your HSA/FSA plan administrator for reimbursement from your HSA/FSA funds. If you do not qualify, you will have the opportunity to cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. How can spending with HSA/FSA help me save up to 30%?

HSA/FSA accounts consist of pre-tax funds, meaning you won’t pay income tax on money you put into those accounts (up to certain limits established by the IRS) and use to pay for qualified medical expenses. Savings amount depends on your federal and state income tax brackets, which is determined by your annual taxable income.

What products qualify for HSA/FSA payment?

Your Felix Gray reading and prescription glasses are automatically approved products for use with HSA/FSA funds. If you are purchasing non-prescription blue light glasses, you can fill out and submit a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) through the Truemed payment link to request approval for your funds to be used. Accessories and gift cards do not qualify.

Can I apply my HSA/FSA funds to a past Felix Gray purchase after qualifying for a Letter of Medical Necessity with Truemed?

No. You can’t apply your HSA/FSA funds to a past Felix Gray purchase. Please contact your HSA or FSA administrator directly to learn more about your eligibility for reimbursement.

How long does it take for me to receive my Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?

Generally it takes 24-48 hours. If you aren't seeing your letter in your inbox, check spam, then reach out to [email protected] for help!
